Thanksgiving is Almost Here – but enjoying Thanksgiving doesn’t have to mean gaining weight! 

Here are some tips for enjoying the holiday feast while still staying healthy:


This Thanksgiving, don’t deprive yourself. Enjoy the delicious food, but be mindful. With a few simple strategies, you can indulge without overdoing it.


The average Thanksgiving meal packs around 3,000 calories and 229 grams of fat. Yikes! Talk about being easy to go overboard with the turkey, mashed potatoes, pie and more. But you don’t have to ruin your health goals to enjoy the holiday.


The year I committed to enjoying Thanksgiving without the guilt started a regular habit for me… I filled up on veggies, chose reasonable portions of my favorites, and skipped seconds. Afterwards, I went for a long walk or played ball with my family. It became routine because waking up the next day feeling satisfied, not stuffed is much more enjoyable than feeling bloated and foggy headed!


With mindful eating habits, you can savor Thanksgiving flavors while maintaining balance. take small portions, go for a walk, drink water between bites, and stop when you’re full. Enjoy time with loved ones without derailing your health.


This year, start a new tradition of giving thanks not just for the food, but for your health. Appreciate being able to share a meal together. Focus more on the company than the calories.
